Collaborating with our mission-critical design partner, Intersect provided early design and feasibility support for two 60+ year-old, 24/7/365 manufacturing plants. Our team conducted a thorough assessment of existing conditions and developed a strategic execution plan, navigating challenges such as asbestos abatement while ensuring a seamless path to permit issuance.

Intersect assembled a skilled local contractor team and coordinated daily activities with Whirlpool’s on-site teams, maintaining smooth communication and preventing disruptions to essential operations. Despite working remotely much of the time, we ensured that every phase of the project was executed with precision. From in-row cooling systems and electrical infrastructure upgrades to redundant backup power, Novec 1230 fire suppression, and controls integration, we focused on delivering a robust, future-ready facility.

Additionally, ADA and security upgrades were incorporated, enhancing both compliance and safety. Our attention to detail, particularly during the punch list phase, ensured the highest quality standards were met.
