Heron Therapeutics: Lab to Office Conversion

PROJECT DETAILS
Heron Therapeutics, an existing tenant in the Campus Point Building, expanded into the 22,000 SF 4th floor, aiming to transform existing lab space into Class A office space while preserving the option to revert back to lab use in the future.
Just as the project began, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, leading to unprecedented restrictions across California. Despite the uncertainty and challenges, Intersect successfully led the design and construction teams through the complex process, ensuring the project continued without delay.
While similar projects faced indefinite delays or budget overruns, Intersect delivered the renovated space on time, on budget, and with all furniture installed by the substantial completion date, meeting the goals of both Heron Therapeutics and the building ownership.
