Heron Therapeutics Lab to Office Conversion
PROJECT DETAILS
A current tenant in this Campus Point Building, Heron Therapeutics, executed an option to expand their office into the 22,000 square foot 4th floor of the Building. The objective was to renovate existing lab space into Class A office space while maintaining the option for ownership to revert the space back to lab use in the future. As the project was beginning, the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, and the State of California began immediate restrictions on commercial activities throughout the state. The path ahead was uncertain and uncharted, but during these challenging times, Intersect led the design and construction teams through the arduous process of moving the project forward and achieving the goals of the tenant and building ownership. While similar projects were put on hold indefinitely or finished late, Intersect delivered the renovated space on time and on budget with furniture installed at the substantial completion date.
