This 30,000 SQ FT pre-engineered warehouse was transformed into a cutting-edge, high-performance co-location data center for BendBroadband, achieving Tier 3 certification from the Uptime Institute. The facility’s state-of-the-art design earned recognition for energy conservation, including awards and incentives from the State and USGBC, marking it as one of the first data centers in the nation to achieve such a high level of certification.

Incorporating innovative mechanical solutions like Kyoto cooling, the data center harnesses the local climate for efficient heat transfer and removal using a heat wheel. Electrically, advanced N+2 flywheel UPS units and 5MW N+2 emergency generators ensure unparalleled uptime and reliability. The project also features a 100MW rooftop solar array and xeriscaping for sustainable landscaping, all contributing to its LEED Gold certification.

Through a carefully managed GC RFP process, we engaged a Portland GC in partnership with a local firm, leveraging local labor for efficient execution.
